It is truly time now to introduce pianist Erik Onnink.
We work together frequently and have created several music videos.

The Ede-based duo—consisting of soprano Tineke Roseboom and pianist Erik Onnink—has a remarkable origin story. Their school and study paths were almost identical. They attended the same secondary school (Het Streek, Bovenbuurtweg) and both studied at the ArtEZ Conservatory in Arnhem. Because Erik is five years older, they never actually met during those years. It was not until 2014 that their paths truly crossed, during a joint concert with a choir.

There was an immediate connection. They decided to form a duo and start making music together—after all, they lived less than five minutes away from each other.

Over the past years, they have already reached several milestones. In addition to giving numerous concerts, they have released several music videos online that have been viewed over one million times. Their most recent videos were launched live on NPO Radio 4.

Erik Onnink (1985) studied classical piano at the ArtEZ Conservatory in Arnhem with Marjès Benoist and Frank van de Laar. He graduated cum laude and simultaneously completed a degree in Communication Studies at the HAN University of Applied Sciences. These studies led him to Hilversum, where he began working for Radio 4, now known as NPO Klassiek. He currently works as a senior editor and programmer of the afternoon programme Maatwerk on the same station.

As a pianist, Erik is highly active as an accompanist and has performed both nationally and internationally. He accompanies various choirs in a wide range of genres and forms a permanent duo with soprano Tineke Roseboom. Erik has also contributed to numerous CD recordings.

A soprano of a thousand colours—that is how one might describe Tineke Roseboom (1990). She graduated in 2012 from the ArtEZ Conservatory in Arnhem, where she studied with Harry van Berne. She is currently coached by Xenia Meijer and Gary Coward (London).

Tineke has contributed to many CD recordings, and in 2016 she released her own debut album, El Rosicler. Thanks to her strong interest in a wide variety of musical styles, Tineke’s repertoire is exceptionally broad. She is much in demand as a soloist in oratorios and concert repertoire, and she also shines in works specially composed for her.

As a studio singer, Tineke works with various composers, including Anne-Kathrin Dern and Klaus Badelt, mainly on game and film music. Her voice can be heard internationally in cinemas and on Netflix, in collaboration with outstanding orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra.

Tineke sings with professional chamber choirs including the Amsterdam Baroque Choir (Ton Koopman), ChorWerk Ruhr (Germany), Orpheus Vokalensemble (Germany), and Zürcher Sing-Akademie (Switzerland).

She forms a duo with pianist Erik Onnink, performs internationally with her baroque trio Trio Picolit, and is the frontwoman of the 1920s salon orchestra Mrs Rose.

Tineke won the Ede Cultural Award 2017 and the Woman in the Media Award, Gelderland 2017.
